We have spent the last 115 years as the most fun, safe, diverse, and creative space for kids to learn, play, and grow in our great city. The children’s museum idea is BCM’s gift to the world. More than 300 museums for children have been created since its inception in 1899! With interactive exhibits and programs filling 102,000 sq. ft. of our LEED-certified facility, BCM offers educational adventures that enrich the lives of over 250,000 visitors per year. Additionally, we are the only museum in the five boroughs with a free K-12 after-school program. More than one-third of visiting families and groups are welcomed through free and reduced admission.
